Katheryn Flynn Exeutive Nursing Home Chef, Best Ankeny Nursing Home, Best Nursing Home Food, The Bridges at Ankeny

Kara’s passion shines when she is interacting with our residents and welcomes the challenge of meeting individual activity and personal needs. Many residents have busy families who aren’t able to visit as often as they’d like; Kara can be seen interacting and sharing with the residents.

Kara looks for ways to brighten our resident's day as well as giving the families peace of mind that their loved one has social engagement. Kara finds joy in seeing smiles knowing she’s a small part of creating their happiness. Kara feels it is a privilege to share time with our residents during this final stage of life.

To Kara, working at The Bridges isn’t just a job it is working with an extended family. Kara states “I enjoy my co-workers, our residents, the beautiful grounds, our exceptional cares, and the dedication to promoting a positive resident experience on all accounts.”

When Kara is relaxing at home, she enjoys laughter and memory-making with family and friends. Kara enjoys going bowling with her friends, being out on the water, and making memories with her family and friends.

Our goal is to make Assisted Living accessible to seniors in Ankeny, with the ability to stay close to family and friends and develop an incredible support system of new and old relationships.

As you grow older, your health can change much more rapidly than in your younger years, often requiring different levels of care and specialized attention. With our onsite doctors, we can track your health, or the health of a loved one, to make sure you are receiving proper care. Assisted Living combines the freedom of Independent Living with the added benefit of an attentive staff and all-included services to make daily life easier and more manageable.
