Administrator

My name is Brodey Hanson and I have had the pleasure of being The Bridges at Ankeny’s Administrator.

Born and raised in Albany, Illinois, I graduated from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa in 2011 with a B.S. in Healthcare Administration and a focus in Long Term Care. In 2013, I completed my M.B.A. I started my healthcare career as an Aide and EMT for nearly 5 years prior to transitioning into Healthcare Finance for Trinity Senior Living Communities overseeing 181beds that included: skilled care, long-term care and dementia care.

Prior to The Bridges at Ankeny, I was the Administrator at Regency Care Center &Assisted Living in Norwalk, IA. During my tenure, we cleared Special Focus Survey from the Department of Inspections and Appeals as well as earned two different quality awards: The Quality Initiative Program Award from the Iowa Healthcare Association and the Bronze Quality Award from the American Healthcare Association.

I have worked directly with patients and residents in a variety of settings—skilled nursing, hospital, community base, etc, but my passion has always been long-term care. I feel an overwhelming responsibility to advocate for the aging population and believe it was my calling. It’s my great pleasure to help ensure that each and every resident receives the very best care possible.

If you see a black lab running around the facility with me, her name is Lexi and she is a licensed therapy dog for the residents. I rescued Lexi roughly 5 years ago and she has enjoyed coming to work with me getting to know all of the residents and their families.

Our goals for 2019 are to secure the Govenor’s Award for Quality of Care and the Bronze Quality Award from the American Healthcare Association,we are also working on awards for our Memory Care Program.

If you take away anything from this biography, it’s very important to me that you know I have an open door policy. Any time you have a praise, concern or problem, I am only a visit or phone call away. Whether you’re a resident, employee or family member, I truly want your experience at The Bridges at Ankeny to not only meet but exceed your expectations. If there is anything you need, please let me know. I will be glad to help in any way I can.

receive the care you need

Our goal is to make Assisted Living accessible to seniors in Ankeny, with the ability to stay close to family and friends and develop an incredible support system of new and old relationships.

As you grow older, your health can change much more rapidly than in your younger years, often requiring different levels of care and specialized attention. With our onsite doctors, we can track your health, or the health of a loved one, to make sure you are receiving proper care. Assisted Living combines the freedom of Independent Living with the added benefit of an attentive staff and all-included services to make daily life easier and more manageable.
